Now the dust has well and truly settled on the season I thought I'd get a few words down to thank you for your support and guidance on my contest journey. All through my teenage years and leading into adulthood i kept my weight issues a secret from everyone by wearing baggie clothes and putting on a happy face. No one really knew the shame i had hidden underneath. I've always been a pretty shy bloke and over the years because of my weight, i was finding myself more and more often missing out on things as i just did not want to be seen, although no one was aware of how i felt. But i did...and thats when i came across Josh and my life has never been better.

After a long hard look at myself and how my self esteem was suffering, i decided that with Josh's help to do a 12 week program. Josh was so precise down to the very last detail. He customised my diet and training to my personal lifestyle which i never thought was possible (boy was i wrong). Right from the very first day of signing up with Josh i felt comfortable and confident that his plan of attack would work. At high school, I was always active - I was on the swimming team, cross country team, athletics team and volleyball team.  I was Age Champion at my school cross country and athletics carnivals for several years.  I also competed in Little Athletics and competed in athletics at State level. 

In mid-1996, I moved to Melbourne and blew out to over 75kg.  Over the years, I attempted to lose my weight through various methods - Jenny Craig, calorie restriction, Weight Watchers, you name it - I tried it!  I worked out at various gyms over the years with very little success.

I had always been interested in competing in Figure, but never thought that I would have the drive or discipline to compete.  Then in June 2006, I was given the contact details for the person who would become my trainer, friend and mentor - Josh Dickinson.  I got in touch with Josh immediately and told him that I was interested in competing in a Figure comp.  The Queensland INBA show was only 16 weeks away and he said that I had to make a decision straight away as to whether or not I would compete on 7 October.  I jumped at the chance and so the preparation for my first Figure comp started.  After looking at my pictures, Josh and I set my target "stage weight" at 55kg.  At first I thought that losing 12.5kg to compete was going to be hard and I was a little overwhelmed, but I got stuck into the program.

I started training with Josh on 17 June 2006, weighing in at 67.5kg.  I competed in Novice Figure (Tall Class) and the Queensland INBA show on 7 October 2006 weighing 52.5kg, and placing 6th in my division.  Although I didn't win or qualify for the INBA National Titles, I don't think I could be happier than I am now.  For me, losing 15kg and getting up on stage in the best condition of my life is the real winner for me

When I made the decision to compete in my first bodybuilding competition, I decided that I would enlist the best help available to get me into the best possible condition.  After searching around I came across Josh’s site and was amazed at the condition he himself was able to achieve and the results of his clients. I'd set myself a goal to achieve in five months but in all honesty didn't really know if I could achieve it or not. I was at my heaviest weight ever and my fitness had deteriorated. I had two things going for me and that was self discipline and consistency but was it enough. Due to Josh's support I have in some areas doubled the weights I have been lifting - in only 6 weeks! I really sat back last night and reflected on how come this has occurred. I put it down to more mental than physical. With Josh in my ear and continually challenging me I have got out of my comfort zone and just gone for it. For example I was calf raising around 500 pounds for 10 at the start of our journey together 6 weeks ago. Last Wednesday on the leg press (safety reasons and machine size) I toe pressed over 1,000 pounds for 10. For me this is empowering me in other areas of my life. I currently see no challenge to big any longer, from being the unbosoming guy that goes about his business without any fuss to all the men giving me hi 5s is a great feeling. And the fact is if I can achieve this any body can. I know that I have such a long way to go but my belief is I Dream, Believe, Strive then I will ACHIEVE. My name is Kartik. I signed up for the ultimate mass gain program with Josh. With April it will be two months and I am really happy with the results I got after going through his training program that he personally made for me.  Before joining Josh I have been working out but never gained mass.  The best part in taking up personal coaching from Josh is after some sessions you start thinking what weight you can lift when to increase the weight etc. This means you are not only taking training but also learning how to do it yourself.  I feel lucky that I came across his site and was able to take his coaching.

MRT Coaching Course as an extra “Motivation" tool and guide in my quest to gain that perfect physique that we all dream about.

As you know I am competing in October, which makes my goals very clear-cut. Over the last 3 months my body has gone through the most unbelievable changes due to as you say having the thirst for knowledge - Any spare moment I have either when I am not training or preparing my next meal is dedicated to reading and studying any material I can get my hands on in relation to mind power, training techniques, nutrition, fat loss, etc etc.

You have written the 
E Book in such a fantastic way - Very easy to read whether you are a beginner or at an advance level. You have not included "fitness" jargon that you tend to read in a lot of other health and fitness books/magazines etc and you are open and honest about what it takes to reach the top.

I have almost completed my Cert 4 in Personal Training and plan to order a few more books you have online to assist with my knowledge base and to move forward in the hope I can inspire others like you about how having a fitness lifestyle changes your life. I live and breath fitness and hope to realize my dreams of earning my living from this and building that perfect physique that most women can never achieve due to not believing in themselves or having the right mindset to achieve goals etc.

Anyway - I wont go on I just wanted to once again thank you - Your website and materials provided to the public are just brilliant and you have an extraordinary way off giving your clients clear facts and information to move forward.

I was at Brisbane's first MuscleMania on Saturday, handed this flyer with your site on it. I thought yeah yeah another one but looked anyway as I can't pass comment on anything till it is seen. Surprise for me ! a site that has up to date information on many aspects of nutrition and exercise.
