Exercise Description: Seated Calf Raise

Specs: Muscles Worked: The primary muscles worked during the seated calf raise is the Soleus. There is very little secondary involvement.

Instruction: 1) Sit on the calf machine and position the pads onto a comfortable part of the lower femur/knee joint. 2) Place the balls of your feet onto the foot platform. Keeping your chest high and upper body musculature braced, drive the weight up from the bottom position. Contract the muscle fully and. 3) Slowly lower the weight for a full stretch, then drive up again to complete the desired amount of reps.
